ESP 360 Remote Unique Capabilities
Powerful IR and RF transmission/reception
ESP 360 Remote features a pair of transmitter and receiver for both IR and RF technologies.
The top layer houses everything:
- 9 high power IR leds bent to 45° in order to cover all the possible directions
- An IR receiver
- A STX883PRO RF Transmitter (the product comes with the 433MHz but you can find online also 315Mhz one)
- A SRX883PRO RF Receiver (same as the transmitter)
Built-in Humidity, Temperature and Ambient Light sensors
ESP 360 Remote is equipped with bult-in SHTC3 for temperaure&humidity and a BH1750 for the ambient light sensing.
This combination allows you to write a lot of different automations to automate your home appliances without any external components
I2C Stemma QT connector
The Stemma QT connector allows you to daisy chain a lot of compatible I2C boards (see here) in order to expand the ESP 360 Remote capabilities even more!
Sleek 3D printable case
In the project repository you can find the 3D printable files.
The case consists in two pieces that you can screw together without any additional component.
You can 3D print with FDM printers or you can check out this in-depth analysis I wrote for a resin printed case that looks way more professional.
Home Assistant Ready
The ESP 360 Remote ships with ESPHome already pre-installed and ready to be linked to Home Assistant in few minutes!
ESPHome + Home Assistant is a great combination as ESPHome is now natively supported out of the box.
This allows us to create powerful automations, especially thanks to an a unique feature of this board that really sets it apart in the market.
Open Source documentation
Obviously, ESP 360 Remote is completely open source and you can find everything in the repository
